Chosen Brand: Topshop
Feedback: You have provided a simple overview of the purpose of the report, however, it would be beneficial to provide more detail to explain the reasoning behind why you have chosen Topshop and the key findings and conclusion that you have reached. You also need to provide recommendations for the brand once you have completed your report. Explain you primary and secondary methods in more detail providing some insight into both the primary and secondary methods.
Feedback: You have provided a good overview of the contents of the report however you must clearly explain the reasoning behind the study and the issues that you have identified. Provide evidence to support some of these issues including sustainability or the limited range of sizes. Please explain the research you have undertaken, you mention looking online, please provide details of these sources.
Feedback: Good initial Pestle to set out the political, economic and social impacts that may be affecting the Topshop brand, however you research needs to be more specific highlighting how these impacts are affecting Topshop and the brands overall performance. Consider the current financial position of the brand, the economic climate and social factors such as changes in consumer behaviour that are affecting the brand directly.
Feedback: Good SWOT to highlight some of the strengths and weaknesses of the Topshop brand. Again, please explain your findings in more detail. For example:
'Weaknesses - No 'older' people range'
'Threats - Not sustainable, a lot of people won't buy the products because of this'
It is important that you provide evidence to support your findings and how this is impacting on consumers.
Feedback: Good moodboard has been provided to highlight some of the key competitors to Topshop including H&M and Zara. Be careful with the choice of age of some consume on your board. Explain in more detail the key competitors that you have highlighted in evidence why these have been chosen. Please note that Zara H&M are not part of the Arcadia group. (Inditex) (H&M Group).
Feedback: Focus on the target consumer demographic too Topshop and provide evidence to support the current target age group of 16-30. Please also include evidence such as income, location, lifestyle, work, etc. The brief also requires you to provide a consumer profile for this consumer. If you are discussing the issues in relation to Topshop not providing larger sizes, please explain how this is affecting the target demographic and the brand. Be carful about quoting statistics from 2002 as this information may not be relevant.
